Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America (FeTNA)

FeTNA is an umbrella organization of Tamil Sangams that function within the North American Continent. FeTNA is a registered, non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. 

It was founded in 1987 by five Tamil Sangams: Tamil Association of Delaware Valley, Tamil Sangam of Washington & Baltimore, New York Tamil Sangam, Ilankai Tamil Sangam and Harrisburg Tamil Sangam. An assembly of over 400 Tamils near Philadelphia celebrated the inauguration in the spring of 1988. Since then the Federation (FeTNA for abbreviation) has organized an annual convention each of the subsequent years.


New York Tamil Sangam (NYTS)

New York Tamil Sangam is the first ever Tamil Association started in the whole of North America.

New York Tamil Sangam is a registered non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization promoting Culture, Art and Literature of Tamil ethnic people and charitable causes encompassing people living in and around New York City.

New York Tamil Sangam today exists for promoting Culture, Art and Literature of Tamil ethnic community and for charitable causes impacting lives of people in need around the world. Tamil is one of the oldest languages of the world, spoken by over 77 million people living around the world.

New York Tamil Sangam strives to raise, solicit, collect, and dispose funds and donations for charities, cultural, educational and humanitarian purposes, either directly or in cooperation with other registered non-profit organizations in the U.S.A and abroad.
